The Colorado Department of Agriculture is supporting Colorado onion producers while an investigation into an ongoing E. coli outbreak continues.

As of October 24, McDonald’s has confirmed that Taylor Farms was the supplier of onions that have been linked to a deadly E. coli outbreak traced to Quarter Pounder burgers sold at the chain’s restaurants in at least 10 states.
Slivered onions served on McDonald’s Quarter Pounder hamburgers have become the suspected source of E.
As they say, the plot thickens.
The majority of people who have fallen ill, 26, are in Colorado, including 18 in Mesa County. The older adult who died lived in Mesa County. It is unclear where the one HUS victim resides.

Illnesses have been reported in Montana residents as well as people who visited Montana over the 4th of July week including Arizona, Oregon, Wyoming, Florida
