Mr. President, Senators, Congress Members watch this video now!

It is long past time for meaningful changes in the safety of the food our children eat.  Whether the food is raw, local, organic, small farm, big farm, mass-produced or slow, if it contains E. coli O157:H7, or another pathogen, it can kill.  It can kill your child, grandchild or the child of a friend.  It can kill just like it killed Abby.  Here is her story:

It is time to step up and make Abby and her family the last to suffer this horror.  Mr. President, Senators, Congress Members, do your jobs!

Abby’s illness, and her Grandfather's, were linked to a Class I Recall by FSIS in May 2009 - Illinois Firm Recalls Ground Beef Products Due To Possible E. coli O157:H7 Contamination

Thanks for sharing the video.

I told my students about Abby in my food and drug law class last night.

I found your article on antibiotic resistant infections interesting. MRSA is also ever present in American farm factories; also be aware that MRSA is routinely found in raw meat. I've handed over research from all over the world to the USDA and CDC early 2007. May 2007 the CDC said MRSA kills more people than AIDS. November 2007 I received a letter from the USDA saying the never checked, but the PORK BOARD funded a small research fund to the University of Iowa, which swabbed pigs and they did find MRSA in the farm factories which this research came to an abrupt HALT. Keep in mind MRSA and VRE is so highly contagious just touching the raw meat is like touching a MRSA patient. Please see my Petition for all the research links and data. I just thought you would be interested in this:

Very sad for Abby and her family. No one deserves to have to go through that.

Time to throw all the industry lobbists out of congressional offices, stop the revolving door, and hold elected representatives accountable.

Our food supply needs proper regulation which includes stiff jail time and heavy fines for the CEO's who allow such horrors to occur.

All that "change we can believe in" looks like "business as usual" to me.
