Thanks to the folks at Think Progress for passing along the video of GOP House candidate Jesse Kelly, who is running in Arizona’s 8th congressional district, at a campaign rally hosted by the Pima County Tea Party Patriots. During a question-and-answer period, a voter asked Kelly about the recent Salmonella outbreak, which led to recall of more than half a billion eggs and sickened 1,800 people. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions, but I think I, and my bank account, like this guy.

  • Gil Ramirez

If he were to get sick, he would quickly change his mind. That’s the problem with the people in power.

  • Interesting that this crowd was moved by the idea that a) their lives are controlled by regulation, and b) regulation always leads to bigger disasters.

  • Ann Quinn

Well, well, Marie Antoinette must be laughing herself silly at Jesse Kelly’s “let them
eat whatever industrialized food producers care to produce” attitude. I hope Mr. Kelly
recalls what the results of Ms. Antoinette’s lack of concern were. And, Mr. Marler, if you’d
care to take MC public, based on this fool’s comments, I’d be happy to invest in your
    law firm’s future profits.

    Ignorance is not bliss . . .

  • Jeff Almer

Wow. How can somedbody even respond to such an ignorant, uneducated, opinion by someone who obviously doesn’t know his entitled rear end from a hole in the ground? That darn government regulation will get you everytime people!

  • Paul Nunes

Wow. This guy reminds me of Clint Webb!
