Screen shot 2010-11-04 at 7.50.33 PM.pngMaryland public health officials said a Westminster company has voluntarily recalled call of its apple cider because of its potential to contain the E. coli bacteria.

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said Thursday that it was investigating a cluster of seven E. coli infections; three people have been hospitalized.

Officials said the potential association exists with the consumption of unpasteurized Baugher’s apple cider.

Seems like Baugher’s has been on FDA’s radar before – see Warning Letter.
