Someone from our “greatest generation” – a hero in war – killed by a cantaloupe.  What a country he fought for.

Rest in peace Mr. Schwarz – Section 51 Row 1 Grave 3.  From one of his sons:

Today Paul A Schwarz Jr would have turned 93! The last time I was there was on the 23rd of December. There were only 2 grave markers and dad would have been the 3rd. The 2nd row already has 6 or 7 markers. Leavenworth/Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery is a beautiful place. Sod will be laid down soon.
