Maiden.jpgA new scholarship at Maiden High School will be announced next week. The Food Safety Law Firm, Marler Clark, will donate $2,500 to fund the Bobby “Pete” Ray Hullett Science and Medicine Scholarship for students who are interested in pursuing higher education in the science or medical field.

“This scholarship is intended to honor the memory of a wonderful man who was killed by Salmonella-tainted peanut butter,” said Marler Clark Managing Partner, Bill Marler.

Maiden High students will benefit from the scholarship donation, which will be awarded in $500 increments over five years. “We want to encourage students to consider science and medicine in hopes that we can reduce – or one day even eliminate – human illnesses like the Salmonella infection that took Pete’s life,” added Marler.
