I donated $5,000 to Miriam’s Kitchen in D.C. on behalf of those killed and wounded in Tucson and their families – http://miriamskitchen.org/. I did it because I can not help thinking of how many times one of my three daughters attended a political event to participate in our democracy.

I think that is a splendid way to honor those who gave their lives or were injured. It demonstrates that there are many good people left in our country and we need to reconnect again in more positive and giving ways. Thank you for your thoughtful expression. We should all find something local and creative to do like this in honor of these people who were taken from us.
