         <description><![CDATA[<p>One thing that might get the attention of the meat industry is, that when an outbreak associated with meat products is announced, people reduce their consumption of the product type(s) involved.  Personally, even though I used to be a carnivore of the highest magnitude, I haven't had more than 3 hamburgers in the last 25 years and eat red meat maybe 1-2 times a month.  And while chicken and fish have their own problems, I've lost my appetite for high-volume, massed produced ground beef products.</p>
