Three months ago I began having symptoms that felt a little like a bladder infection. I went to the Doctor, he had urine tests done, and said that I had white blood cells in my urine, but no unine infection altho he had treated me with an antibotic. Then, a month ago, the symptoms returned and I went to a different doctor. Urine tests were done and I was told that I had e-coli in my urine. I was treated with Levaquin for 7 days. Another unine test was done, and I was told the e-coli was gone. I was still having some symptoms, and now being treated for diverticulitis.....that's a whole different story.
In reading this info re: e-coli being treated with antibotics, it says that antibiotics do no good. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also, I see nothing indicating that it gets into the urine.

Hi there Barb,

I have the same thing and I cant seem to find anything that tells you how it gets into your urine or what the cure could be. I have been tested and tested over the years and everytime we think it is gone....it shows up again in the tests. Did you ever get a response to your question??

hope things are better for you

I was just reading this article and found it quite interesting as I was 13 months old in 1975 and had a severe ecoli infection that landed me in the hospital for 6 1/2 weeks in intensive care with kidney failure. never did figure out the source. I guess I am thankful to be alive today after that.
