E. coli O104:H4 Toll by the Numbers, with or without Sprouts

Death toll to 22 Sunday — 21 in Germany and one in Sweden.

2,153 people in Germany have been sickened. Ten other European nations and the U.S. have reported a total of 90 other victims.  Total 2,243.

627 people have developed Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.

And, the Spanish are going to sue the Germans over the cucumber error – and what about the victims?

    I read a post on your site the other day that said something about sprouts being in the same realm as raw milk. And they have now moved into that category for me.
    It’s too bad. I like sprouts as a quick and easy way to have some greens–I hate iceberg lettuce. And I liked having them in my house to grow so I didn’t have to go to the store. But that’s over now.
